This Never Gets Old!
One of the fun parts of living in Central Florida is the ability to go outside and watch a live rocket launch.

We drove our golf cart to a nice open space to watch the recent moon launch.
There were dozens of others there doing the same thing. When it broke past the clouds into view, I was excited!
Godspeed, good luck and may they return home safely.
26 years ago, Jo and I lived in Tampa and were having dinner. The evening news announced the space shuttle was launching in a few hours. I asked Jo if she had ever seen a launch up close and she said, “No.” Neither had I.
We gobbled the last few bites, grabbed the camera, hopped in the car and drove across the state to Cape Canaveral, arriving in the nick of time. Luckily, we found a parking place, walked a few blocks to an open spot with five minutes to spare.

Fifteen minutes later we were headed back home. No matter how many times we watch a launch, it’s still very exciting! Hope everyone enjoys the photos.
We’re taking some time off, and will be back writing again soon.
Until next time…
